Melissa Bushnick - Lawyer in Portland, OR

Melissa specializes in civil litigation defense with a focus on professional malpractice, representation before health professional licensing boards, and general liability defense. She was born and raised in the northwest suburbs of Chicago and is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Washington and Oregon.

Melissa is a Triple Illini. She obtained her Bachelors summa cum laude in Art History and Jewish Studies and her Masters in Art History from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She graduated cum laude with her J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law with a Pro Bono notation award.

Before joining Lindsay Hart, Melissa was an associate attorney at Brisbee and Stockton, LLC, where her practice focused on representing hospitals, physicians, nurses, veterinarians and other lawyers in litigation matters and before professional licensing boards, as well as representation of a local school district and general insurance defense. Melissa is a member of the Multnomah Bar Association, Oregon Women Lawyers, Oregon Association of Defense Counsel and the Chicago Bar Association.

Since moving to Oregon in the fall of 2013, Melissa and her husband have enjoyed exploring their new home in the Pacific Northwest. She spends her time outside of the office hiking, gardening, and traveling.
