About the lawyer
A partner in the New Orleans office of Burns Charest LLP, Amanda Klevorn represents plaintiffs in consumer-oriented complex litigation in both federal and state courts.
Currently she serves on the litigation team representing Illinois residents in a proposed class action claiming violation of the states biometric privacy laws by the popular TikTok application. In addition she participates in litigation brought by several health plans and public agencies against Johnson Johnson under the False Claims Act, alleging the company fraudulently obtained a patent to block cheaper generic versions of the prostate cancer drug Zytiga.
She also served as a member of the trial team that secured a $52 million settlement with Facebook that provides for ongoing psychological counseling and support for moderators of the companys social media content.
Ms. Kelvorn earned her undergraduate degree from Saint Louis University and her law degree from the Tulane University Law School. At Tulane she served as a student attorney with Tulanes Civil Litigation Clinic, and her moot court team won the 2012 Louisiana State Bar Association trial competition. She also served as a Managing Editor for the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law.
