About the lawyer
Tom Ludwiski counsels clients in finance and tax-related issues involved in real estate and economic development transactions. He represents developers in the allocation and monetization of state and local tax credits and investors in the acquisition of credits. He also advises clients investing in projects located in Qualified Opportunity Zones and forming Qualified Opportunity Funds in order to finance those projects. He serves as bond counsel, borrowers counsel and issuers counsel in taxable and tax-exempt bond and note issues, including the issuance of economic development revenue bonds to finance the construction of manufacturing facilities.
Prior to joining Barrett McNagny, Tom spent three years at a public accounting firm as a Senior Tax Associate. He has experience working with companies of all sizes handling tax planning, business tax returns, and representation before taxing authorities.
Tom was selected for inclusion in The 2021 Best Lawyers in America?: Ones to Watch publication in the areas of corporate and tax law. He is a member of the Allen County Bar Association, Financial Executives International, and is active with his local parish, St. Jude Catholic Church. He serves on the board of directors of the North Anthony Corridor Group.
He earned his B.S., Accounting, with high distinction, in 2010 from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, where he was a Founders Scholar. He received his J.D. from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2013. He is a Certified Public Accountant and is admitted to practice before the Indiana state courts.
