About the lawyer
Chuck Dukes is an associate with RPWBs consumer class action group, which represents thousands of individuals in various state and federal courts throughout the country. In addition to his class work, Chuck also represents whistleblowers in qui tam litigation brought under the False Claims Act.
He also litigates serious personal injury cases on behalf of clients who were injured or killed through no fault of their own. For example, Chuck represented the young widow of a man killed by a drunk driver in downtown Charleston, South Carolina. After significant investigation, and extensive litigation, it was determined that two bars had overserved the drunk driver before he caused the fatal collision. The case resolved for $5.4 million just before trial.
A native of North Carolina, Chuck moved to Charleston in 2009 and is a magna cum laude graduate of the Charleston School of Law, where he served on the Moot Court Board, Trial Advocacy Board, and was a senior legal writing teaching fellow. He obtained his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Chuck began his work at RPWB as a summer law clerk, then became an attorney with the firm in 2013.
He and his wife Jenn have two wonderful daughters, Eva and Elle, and two spirited springer spaniels, Charlie and Lucy. Outside of work, he enjoys running, the great outdoors, building things, gathering with friends, and watching competitive sports.
