JACK P. HILL played football at Yale University, earned all-Ivy and all-American academichonors, and served as a felony prosecutor in the Palm Beach County StateAttorneys office before joining Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart Shipley,P.A.

A native of Palm Beach County who attended the Benjamin School in NorthPalm Beach, Mr. Hill handled dozens of jury trials as an Assistant StateAttorney, prosecuting crimes ranging from DUI to first degree feloniespunishable by life in prison. His successful prosecution of one of the firstpost-September 11 airport security cases attracted national media attention andwas covered and aired by Court TV.

As an SDSBS Shareholder, Mr. Hills practice focuses onautomobile and trucking negligence, product liability and medical malpractice.Since joining the firm, he has secured many million- and multi-million dollarverdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. His highest jury verdict todate was in excess of $30 million in a medical malpractice case. Mr.Hill has been named in the Best Lawyers in America and the FloridaSuper Lawyers publications since 2013. He has been recognized by bothSouth Florida Legal Guide and Super Lawyers as a rising starin the field of personal injury. He is also a member of The National TrialLawyers Top 40 under 40 for Florida.

Mr. Hill is admitted to each of the three federal district courts inFlorida. He is a member of the Florida Justice Association, the AmericanAssociation for Justice, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, and the PalmBeach County Justice Association, where he has served as a board member from2006 to 2012. He also serves on the Yale University Alumni SchoolsCommittee.

Mr. Hill earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science at Yale. Hereceived his law degree from the University of Florida College of Law, withhonors. At his induction into The Florida Bar, having achieved the highestscore on The Florida Bar exam, he delivered the response on behalf of newlyadmitted lawyers before the Fourth District Court of Appeals.
