Matt has broad experience in litigation and arbitration matters in Maryland, D.C., Virginia, South Carolina, Florida and other jurisdictions across the country. Most recently Matt was called upon to represent a global privately held companys chief executive officer in a shareholder litigation matter in the District of Columbia, a general contractor in defense of a multi-million dollar claim for construction deficiencies in Florida, and a local private company in a shareholder action and counterclaim in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Prior to joining Stein Sperling, Matt was Managing Partner of Miles and Stockbridges Rockville office, and served as co-chair of the firms 80 lawyer Commercial Litigation Group.
