The Court agreed with our clients position that a federaldistrict court must apply the state law of the state where the lawsuit wasfiled even after the lawsuit has been transferred to a federal court in anotherstate at the plaintiffs request. As a result, an injured farmer was grantedrecourse using the longer statute of limitations of the state in which thelawsuit was filed and in which the defendant company did business. The statuteof limitations in the farmers home state had expired.
