From 1999 to 2005 he was the legislative liaison for the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar. He served on the Legislative Interim Study Committee on Community Property Laws in 1999 and 2000. In 2001 he was a member of the Uniform Trust Law Committee for the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar.He is also a past chair of the Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Section of the State Bar. He has served on committees of the American Bar Association and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
