Originally from New York, Mr. Kotzamanis is a member of the Colorado, New York and Ohio Bar Associations.  He began his career in law practice in Cleveland, Ohio, specializing in subrogation litigation and insurance protection. After seven years of practice in the Midwest, he moved to London, England, where he headed the London legal department of the largest Greek shipowner in the world. Subsequently, he qualified as a lawyer in the United Kingdom as a lawyer, and then began working for two respected London firms specializing in maritime litigation. After five years in London, Mr. Kotzamanis was hired by a Greek shipowner to work in his legal department in Piraeus, Greece, where he practiced on his own before returning home to New York two years later. After that, for 20 years, he was involved in personal injury litigation at the family injury firm, first as a lawyer, then as a senior trial lawyer and finally as a litigation partner.

While in New York, Mr. Kotzamanis was highly regarded for his career in and out of the courtroom, and he was often approached by fellow lawyers for advice and as a trial lawyer in their cases. In fact, in 2007, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, his colleagues selected him as a ”Super Lawyer" in the state of New York, recognizing him as one of the 5% best personal injury litigation lawyers in the New York Metropolitan Area.  His verdicts and decisions were repeatedly published in the New York Law Journal and the New York Reporter on the Jury Verdict.
