This experience aroused James' interest in insurance litigation, and he considered many claims of dishonesty. Shortly after graduating from law school, James worked in the field of injury, which further developed his passion for consumer protection and plaintiffs' interests. James' experience in the field of injuries is wide, he has represented plaintiffs in a number of lawsuits, including car collisions, claims for liability for premises, slip and fall, animal attacks and claims for material damage.

James decided to pursue a law degree while attending college at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, where he was a member of the trial team. While attending the Sturm Law School at the University of Denver, James developed his passion for the practice of law, winning several Outstanding Attorney awards from the Bar Association in his freshman year and winning «Outstanding Attorney» at Sturm's main trial competition, the Hoffman Cup, in his sophomore year. James is an active member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and actively participates in the CTLA Amicus Curiae Committee. James is also a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association, and has given talks and taught at industry events, speaking on various topics. He brings a unique perspective on events based on his relevant education and experience.

A Colorado resident since childhood, James has strong ties to Southern Colorado. In his free time, he likes to play with friends and spend time with his wife and beloved pets. In keeping with his love of litigation advocacy, James devotes time and energy to students participating in mock trial activities. He coaches the D'evelin High School mock Trial team and is an active volunteer in the Sturm Trial Advocacy department and judges their competitions as often as he can.
