A Passion for Public Health
Patricia spent several years working in the public health industry and earning her masters in Public Health before deciding she could make a bigger impact as an attorney. I realized becoming an attorney would put me in a better position to directly help people, she explained. As an asbestos attorney, Im able to leverage my public health background for my clients and that is fulfilling.
Passionate about combining her public health background with her law degree, Patricias overall goal is to help people who are suffering. She explained, There is epidemiology behind mesothelioma and other cancers, and I understand how to apply that research for clients.

A History of Leadership
Before joining Simmons Hanly Conroy, Patricia worked for a St. Louis area law firm, focusing on personal injury. While there, she negotiated settlements exceeding millions of dollars and initiated the firms diversity and inclusion program. She previously worked for the New York City Department of Health and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services? Office of Minority Health.
Patricia received a B.A. in Philosophy as well as a B.A. in Criminal Justice and Criminology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 2004. She received an M.P.H. in Community Health from Saint Louis University School of Public Health in 2006 and her J.D. from the City University of New York School of Law in 2014. Patricia is also bilingual and studied abroad in Chile and Argentina.
Outside the office, she enjoys drawing, painting, reading philosophy books, and traveling. She also volunteers with the Legal Services of Eastern Missouri and is an active member in the Missouri and Hispanic legal community.
