He has served as Chair of the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the Michigan Bar Association, the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Lansing and Michigan State Universitys Special Counsel to the Office of Planned Giving. In 2001, Mr. Bos received the Michael W. Irish award for outstanding contributions to the estate planning profession and to his community. In 2007, Mr. Bos was the first recipient of the George A. Cooney, Jr. Society Award for outstanding contributions to continuing legal education. Mr. Bos has been recognized since 1995 in The Best Lawyers in America in the specialties of Trusts and Estates as well as Trusts and Estates — Litigation and since 2007 in Michigan Super Lawyers. He has also been recognized in Whos Who in American Law.
