Donald R. McMinn litigates a variety of complexcivil matters. He has considerableexperience defending clients involved in MDL proceedings, from the petition forMDL status through the trial or settlement of bellwether plaintiffs. Heleads both Firm attorney teams and local counsel teams in implementing aunified and consistent strategy across multiple jurisdictions in whichsimultaneous litigation is proceeding. He conducts depositions, developsexpert testimony concerning causation and damages issues, and engages in motionspractice and oral argument to eliminate opponents causation experts on Daubert grounds. Mr. McMinnhas strong relationships with specialized accounting consultants and hassignificant experience in the use of sophisticated computerized allocationmodels. He represents clients involved in litigation of issues arisingout of overlapping coverage, including the application of other-insuranceclauses and the impact velnon on the insured of the contribution and subrogation claims ofone of its insurers against another. He advises clients with respect tocoverage issues arising out of product liability claims and tort claims,workplace exposure to noise and hazardous substances, and environmentalmatters. Mr. McMinn served as a Note Comment Editor for the New York University Law Review. He clerked for Chief Judge Manuel L. Real of the U.S. District Court for theCentral District of California. He is a past member of the editorial board ofthe Insurance CoverageLaw Bulletin and he has been an Adjunct Professor of Law atThe George Washington University Law School.
