Kyril Talanov is a trial lawyer focused on intellectual property matters, including patent and trade secret litigation. He has experience litigating disputes involving a variety of technologies, such as oilfield drilling and completion tools, smartphones and medical devices. Before becoming a lawyer, Mr. Talanov was a process engineer in the areas of oil, gas, and petrochemicals technology.

He focused on chemical and mechanical technologies, such as oilfield drilling tools and fluids, polymers and plastics, catalytic reactions and distillation processes, and consumer products. Mr. Talanov also interned for Justice Tim Taft at the 1st Court of Appeals of Texas.

Mr. Talanov has five years of industry experience as a process engineer with Exxon Mobil and Black Veatch in the areas of oil, gas, and petrochemicals, including olefins and aromatics, syngas, utilities, gas processing and desulfurization, and LNG. His responsibilities included engineering design of large grassroots facilities, de-bottleneck projects, and technical support for chemical plant and refinery operations. He received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering, cum laude from Texas Tech University.
