Adam has focused on environmental and energy law issues fornearly 25 years. Adam has deep expertise in matters involving renewable andconventional energy, project permitting, land use/development, and Brownfieldsredevelopment. Corporate, institutional, and government clients have benefitedfrom Adams considerable experience in environmental disputes, compliance andtransactions, siting, permitting, and development of complex energy facilitiesand other commercial and industrial operations, and the remediation,redevelopment and reuse of contaminated property.

Adam is a lead member of the firms Energy Cleantechpractice group. He also frequently counsels clients on emerging issues fromclimate change and greenhouse gas regulation to environmental sustainabilityand corporate social responsibility. Along with his extensive domesticpractice, Adam has worked in the arena of international environmental law,including representing clients on environmental matters before theInternational Court of Justice in The Hague.

In addition to maintaining an active practice, Adam servesas Co-Managing Partner of Foley Hoag and is a member of the firm's ExecutiveCommittee. Prior to joining the Executive Committee, he was the pastcoordinator of both Foley Hoags environmental practice group and chair of thefirm's Administrative Law Department, which includes environmental, energy andregulated industries, health care, government strategies and public lawpractice groups. Adam is also the Chair of the firms Committee on Diversityand Inclusion.
