James R. "Jim" Pratt - Lawyer in Orlando, FL

Jim practices in the firm's Real Estate Practice Group focusing on commercial finance and banking, condominium law, environmental and land use law, and mortgage and real estate law (including land development).

During his practice, Jim has represented large banks in all types of mortgage loan transactions, land developers in acquisitions, entitlement and construction of residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed use projects. In addition, he continues to represent property owners in all issues relating to ownership and use of real estate. In recent years, he has participated in several of the most significant land development and transportation projects to take place in Orange and Osceola Counties.

From 2010 to 2015, Jim served as Managing Partner of the firms Orlando office. From July 2015 to July 2018, Jim served as Mission President of the Canada Halifax Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a young man, he served a two-year mission for the church in France and Belgium. He also taught French at Brigham Young University and speaks French fluently.

Jim and his wife, Debbie, have raised their four children in Central Florida, and in their now adult children they are proudly observing the fruits of their (but mostly Debbies) labors.
