Mariane's practice isprimarily focused on insolvency and bankruptcy related cases. The insolvency practice includes the representation ofdebtors-in-possession in Chapter 11 proceedings, representation of Chapter 11trustees, liquidating agents, and receivers, and the representation of securedand unsecured creditors in cases pending before the bankruptcy court. Mariane has also represented assignors and assignees in the statutorilycreated liquidation process known as an Assignment for the Benefit ofCreditors.?

Mariane has developed aspecialty for fraudulent transfer litigation under the Bankruptcy Code and theFlorida Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act (FUFTA). During this time, as eitherchief or co-counsel, she commenced adversary proceedings to recover assets forthe bankruptcy estate which would then be distributed to the unsecuredcreditors. Two of the most significant cases were the Ponzischemes, In re World Vision Entertainment, Inc., and In reEvergreen Security Ltd.

Mariane is currently a memberof the Executive Council of the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar, and isan officer and member of the board of directors of the FloridaAssociation for Women Lawyers (FAWL). She is also currently serving as theEditor for the FAWL Journal.?
