Susan M. Corcoran is a Shareholder in the White Plains, New York office of Jackson Lewis P.C. She has been with the firm since April 1990.

Ms. Corcoran is a graduate of Cornell University, the School of Industrial and Labor Relations (B.S., 1985), and Pace University School of Law (J.D., 1990). She is a member of the Bars of the State of Connecticut and New York, and is admitted to the U.S. Supreme Court, and the U.S. District Courts in New York and Connecticut. She is a member of the New York and Westchester Womens Bar Association (WWBA), the Womens Bar Association of the State of New York, and National Association of Women Lawyers. She is an active participant of the WWBA, and for many years co-chair of its Employment Law Committee.

Ms. Corcoran has practiced exclusively in the area of employment and labor law, and regularly litigates in court or defends administrative matters on behalf of the firms clients. She counsels clients on a variety of workplace law matters, and serves as a firm expert and resource on nationwide policy development and background investigations (including FCRA compliance issues). Ms. Corcoran frequently speaks before industry and human resources groups, sharing her expertise on a variety of workplace law issues. Ms. Corcoran is currently on Lorman Education Services National Advisory Board for its Human Resources Certification Program, and serves as NYS SHRMs Legislative Director.

For eight years, Ms. Corcoran was an adjunct legal professor for Manhattanville Colleges Human Resources masters program. The Pro Bono Partnership, an organization serving the needs of not-for-profits in the tri-state area, awarded Ms. Corcoran with its 2003 Outstanding Volunteer Award, and then in 2008 with its Volunteer of the Decade Award. Ms. Corcoran also currently serves on the Board of Family Services of Westchester and College Council for SUNY Purchase.
