Richard has represented lenders,investors, and sellers in multimillion-dollar real estate transactionsthroughout the southeastern and Gulf Coast states. A significant portionof Richards practice has involved advising regional and community banks inmatters concerning bank operations, loan participations, loan documentationcompliance with Alabama law, and bank regulatory matters, particularly thoseregarding impaired and special assets. Richard represents banks in theevaluation and defense of claims brought by borrowers and has both brought anddefended title insurance and foreclosure redemption claims.
