Vincent A. Van Noletto, Jr. graduated summa cum laude from Springhill College in 1976 and from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1979. He is a member of the Mobile, Alabama and American Bar Associations, the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association and the Paul Brock Chapter of the American Inns of Court. Van has enjoyed a varied professional liability practice for many years and has recently been heavily involved in the representation of architects and engineers. Among the recent cases in which Van has been involved are various claims against architects and engineers arising out of construction projects which were undertaken by the Mobile and Baldwin County School Systems. He has also been involved in representing a design engineer in claims arising out of the construction of the Thyssenkrupp Steel Facility located in North Mobile County which was a multi-billion dollar project. His recent practice also includes a signi?cant amount of litigation arising out of the design and construction of numerous high rise condominiums along the Alabama and Florida Gulf Coasts. These are multi-party cases with complex pleading issues and involve taking and defending numerous depositions, including those of experts in all ?elds of design, construction and remediation. They also involve the preparation and presentation of dispositive motions addressing all areas of design and construction liability.
In addition to his work in this area, he has also represented attorneys, real estate agents and managers, directors and officers, insurance agents, mortgage service providers and pharmacists in matters where breaches of the standard of care have been alleged. The attorney errors and omissions cases have included alleged breaches involving real estate transactions, preparation of wills and collection activities. The pharmacy matters generally involve alleged improper ?lling of prescriptions and he recently tried a case to a defense verdict where there was an admitted mistake in ?lling the prescription, concentrating on the issue of causation.
