Ricks tax practice focuses on tax planning and counsel to partnerships, corporations, individuals, flow-through entities and tax matters involving business and real estate transactions, business successions and tax controversies.

As a participant in the firms multi-unit and franchise finance practice, Rick speaks at business conferences and key industry events, and contributes to franchise finance industry publications. He was honored by Franchise Times as one of franchisings top 125 Legal Eagles. Rick has also been selected as a Super Lawyer by Minnesota Law Politics magazine.

In addition to earning a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Minnesota, Rick is a certified public accountant (inactive) who began his career with the international accounting firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
