Lisa S. Zebovitz is co-chair of Neal, Gerber Eisenbergs Environmental practice group. Lisa has extensive experience representing both the government and private sectors in complex litigation and administrative proceedings involving environmental issues in the areas of solid and hazardous wastes, mold, underground tanks, toxic substances, pesticides, water, air and federal procurement. She is uniquely situated to provide cost-effective and practical counsel given that her many years of in-house corporate and government experience allow her to appreciate issues from the clients perspective, as well as from the governments.

Lisas sophisticated national practice includes Superfund and cost recovery, toxic tort litigation, enforcement actions in federal, state and administrative forums, arbitrations and mediations, due diligence evaluations, environmental compliance auditing, record retention policies, contract and bid reviews, air, water, solid waste landfill and RCRA Part B permitting, insurance coverage, statutory and regulatory analysis and regulation drafting. Counseling clients on compliance issues associated with environmental laws and regulations is a significant component of her practice.

Lisa also works with transactional attorneys and consultants to help clients assess and manage environmental risks and liabilities arising in the course of transactions. Her increasing involvement in green issues on behalf of her clients is reflected in her article in FORUM magazine, Behind the Buzzwords: What Does Green Really Mean? Lisa is the chairperson of the firms Green Committee and also advises clients on green and sustainability issues. She is also a certified mediator, having been awarded a Certificate of Professional Achievement in Mediation Training from DePaul University, Center for Dispute Resolution.
