R. Alan Alexander - Lawyer in Mobile, AL

Mr. Alexander has over twenty-five years experience representing hospitals, health care providers and lawyers in the defense of professional liability claims. He has tried to verdict in excess of fifty malpractice cases in both state and federal courts of Alabama, and has successfully handled appeals of cases in the Alabama Court of Civil Appeals, the Supreme Court of Alabama, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United

States.

Beginning his legal career as a Law Clerk and later Staff Attorney to the Honorable Sam Taylor on the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals in Montgomery, Mr. Alexander returned to his home in Mobile, where he has maintained a thriving professional liability defense practice since 1984. A graduate of the Defense Counsel Trial Academy of the International Association of Defense Counsel (1987), Mr. Alexander is an author and frequent lecturer on issues related to the defense of professional liability claims and witness effectiveness training and techniques. He has served the Alabama defense bar as a Member, Board Member and President (2006? 2007) of the Alabama Defense Lawyers Association, and is a Member of the Defense Research Institute, from which he received an Exceptional Performance Citation in 2007.

Inter-Professional Relations, Public Relations, Civil Procedure and Grievance Committees).
